In 2016 we organised our first film festival. The initiative cane from Micha and Danny, two Russian Musafiri that have returned often to the Musafir.

The setting was amazing, Fumbini beach in Kilifi, with the Musafir in the background. We had two evenings of screening, drawing a collection of viewers. We showed a  documentary and short movies from 8pm until midnight, free for all the neighbouring community. There was also a beach bonfire, a food stall and beverages.

It was a very bonding experience for the 15 Musafiris who were with us at the time working on it, especially for Micha and Danny seeing their initiatives become beautiful reality.
With more then 200 people attending every night, it created a close relation and exchange with the community that was kindly hosting us. A beach clean up was also organize the day after the event was over.
