As part of our cornerstone of unity, the Musafir is committed to minimising and reducing our impact on the world we all share.
We set the example and promote a healthier, leaner and cleaner life, constantly striving to keep the world beautiful and sustainable for the future of mother earth.
Climate change is a threat to the world as we know it, wildlife and humanity is already facing a huge task of adaptation, where many will be heavily affected in the coming decade.
A huge movement is gaining momentum worldwide, taking the initiative from the slow and beauracratic measures taken by governments.
We believe that we can’t rely on policies to make the decision for us, but the future depend on us. Each individual needs to take the responsibility of their own actions, and change the world by setting the example.
On the Musafir we took this call for action to heart. We intend to bring our carbon footprint to a negative, via mangrove restoration, spreading awareness in the communities that we reach via pop-up film festivals, workshops and a variety of community-specific activities.
We also aim to set up small-scale plastic recycling plants to create an recycling economy that can benefit the community and the environment around them, as well as provide income to enable the schemes to be sustainable.
We are collaborating with conservancy in Kenya that will bring the impact of the people that join us from abroad to a negative. We are constantly trying to improve ourselves and our lifestyle choices while we realise and explore better ways to be more beneficial to the planet.
With our humble life on board the Musafir we are aiming for a very low impact on the environment. The Musafir being the only engineless boat of is kind in the region, we want to become the symbol and the hub for this change of conciusness, uniting activists, scientists and enviromentalists to discuss and research ways to tackle the issues and causes of climate change and take action.
We are busy connecting with all sorts of organisations that face the same issue in different ways. Reforestation, waste management, environmental conservation and social influencers are directions that we envision will help us deliver a better service to the communities that we reach and improve our climate commitment.
We need to act together in this cause. Mother Earth needs the help of everyone.
